Trips - 2010-07-25 - Powhatan Summer Camp July 25-30, 2010 ASM: Dave Wrona & Tim Trible Troop 945 has reserved spots in many camp options. Powhatan Base camp is the program to earn up to 5 merit badges in one week. This goes a long way towards rank advancement to Star, Life and Eagle. There is High Knoll Trail (hiking), New River Adventure (rafting), Claytor Lake (water sports), Voyageur Trek (canoeing), Scuba and Fish Camp. And if you like to go without a shower for a week, wear the same clothes for 6 days and be the smelliest one on the bus, then Mountain Man Outpost is for you. For more information about the high adventure progams go to the web site below.     http://www.bsa-brmc.org/high.htm         If you are interested in signing up for the camp, either sign up at the next Troop 945 meeting or e-mail me at trible4@verizon.net.       The first payment of $50 ($100 for Scuba) is due. The installment plan and total amount due for each is listed below. After {date}, all payments are non-refundable. Payment can be made by cash, check (to Troop 945) or scout bucks.   Base Camp Total cost is: $280($150 for adults) First Payment is $50 and is due. Second Payment of $50 is due Final Payment of $185 ($50 for adults) is due on {date}. Required Medical Forms (Scouts and Adults under 40):  Class 2 (If signed by physician prior to July 2006, a new Class 2 must be completed.) Adults over 40:  Class 3 (Physical) must be completed yearly.     Adventure Camps (except Scuba): Total cost is: $320 (same for adults) First Payment is $50 and is due. Second Payment of $50 is due by Final Payment of $210  is due on May 25. Required Medical Forms:  Class 3, less than one year old. (Claytor Lake, Voyageur, New River Adventure, Mountain Man)   Scuba Camp: Total cost is: $450 open water, $485 Advanced certificate. First Payment is $100 and is due. Second Payment of $100 is due Final Payment of $265/$285  is due on May 25. Required Medical Forms:  PADI Medical   There is a family discount. If you have more than one scout in camp, the others get a $25 discount.
